The Association recognizes that many alumni formed their most valued Southwestern relationships through student organizations, residence halls, academic departments, social groups or shared interests. In recognition of the importance of these connections, The Association of Southwestern University Alumni invites any alumni organization, affinity or interest group that meets the established criteria to formally affiliate with The Association as an Alumni Connection Group.
Like Southwestern student organizations, Alumni Connection Groups form around a variety of interest areas:
- Greek
- Professional/Vocational
- Fine Arts
- Academic
- Social
- Athletic
- Special Interest

- Identify a primary contact that will serve as a liaison to the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations and notify the Office when the primary contact changes.
- Update member addresses and contact information with the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations.
- Newly formed connection groups will need to provide the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations with a membership roster.
